        Welcome!

        Welcome to the Museum of Ontario Archaeology. We are dedited to connecting people to the stories of the human experience through time and place. It is our mission to share, interpret, and re for the archaeologil record to advance an understanding of Ontario’s Heritage.


        As of March 21st, the Museum of Ontario Archaeology will continue to maintain its masking policy. We require that visitors (ages 2 and up) wear their masks at all times while inside the museum.


        Upcoming Events

        With the success of our virtual Natural Clay Pottery Course last year, the MOA is excited to announce our partnership with FUSION: The Ontario Clay and Glass Association and The London Clay Art Centre to offer this course again!
        Thanks to our hybrid delivery option, this course is available to anyone who has an interest in learning more about creating natural clay pottery, regardless of lotion! Last year we had many virtual participants from across nada, the United States, and even overseas!

        The Museum of Ontario Archaeology is excited to announce our 2nd annual Heritage Svenger Hunt!
        Looking for something to do this summer? Why not get outdoors and explore London’s rich Heritage and Archeologil sites! This event will run from August 26 to September 5th. Participants will take part in an outdoor adventure around London exploring 10 archeologil heritage sites. At each lotion, they’ll complete missions to learn more about the signifince of the site. 

        To join the adventure, registrants will pay a $2.00 participation fee.

        We are excited to announce that we will be going ahead with in-person on-site summer day mp!
        Our mps will be available for mpers ages 8 to 12 (must be turning 8 by the end of the year). This year, we will not be offering registration for single days, only by the week.

        mp will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Drop off for mp will be 8:45am-9:00am with mp starting at 9:00 and the pick-up time will be from 4:00pm-4:15pm.

        Enrolment is limited, so make sure to register early!

        If you are a youth looking for a summer job and want to develop skills in anthropology, archaeology, history, edution, or First Nations studies, the Museum of Ontario Archaeology may be the place for you! Every summer we have a number of positions available from mp counsellors to positions working closely with our curatorial staff, a summer position at the MOA is a great way to gain experience working in a museum!

        Museum Edutor 

        Position funded through nada Summer Jobs (CSJ).

        The Museum of Ontario Archaeology is hiring a Museum Edutor for our summer season.

        Work Term: 8 weeks, 35 hr/week [9:00AM-4:00PM], $15/hr.  Start date:  July 4th, Anticipated end date: August 26th. Availability to work weekend hours as needed.? 

        Museum Co-ordinator

        Position funded through nada Summer Jobs (CSJ).

        The Museum of Ontario Archaeology is seeking a Museum Co-ordinator for the summer season.

        Work Term: 8 weeks, beginning July 5th and ending August 27th. This position is 35 hrs/week, Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, $15/hr.


        We are currently offering General Tours and Special Tours.
        Tours run Tuesdays to Saturdays at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM respectively.

        Our General Tours are approximately an hour in length and led by our knowledgeable guides who will take visitors through the Lawson Site and our permanent galleries.

        Pricing:

        For groups up to 5: $25

        For groups up to 10: $50

        After 10, additional per person charge: $5

        Our new tour option Tour & Activity is a new spin on our popular Family Field Trip. In addition to a tour of the Lawson Site and permanent galleries, this option also includes a workshop(s), suitable for all ages.

        *Pricing for 1 Activity:

        For groups up to 5: $35

        For groups up to 10: $70

        After 10, additional per person charge: $7

        *Hour and a half in length.


        *Pricing for 2 Activities:

        For groups up to 5: $45

        For groups up to 10: $90

        After 10, additional per person charge: $9
